A journalist says late Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez awakened the people of Latin American countries and helped them dream of a better future.
On Tuesday afternoon, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez died after fighting for almost two years with cancer. Chavez’s coffin was placed half-open in the hall of the Military School of Venezuela in Caracas after it was accompanied by his supporters from hospital on Wednesday. Chavez’s children surrounded the coffin as people chanted, „Chavez lives, the struggle goes on.“ The deceased Venezuelan leader’s body will lie in state until an official ceremony is held with foreign dignitaries on Friday.
Press TV has conducted an interview with Cristina Leiva, a Hispan TV presenter, to shed more light on the issue at hand.
